antigua!

andrew and i were able to finally take our 10 year anniversary trip, a year late.  we had been planning to go somewhere big for a few years now but last year i was pregnant with little miss so we had to postpone one more year.  it's ok, she was worth it.  and so was the trip.  we had the most amazing time meeting new people, laying by the blue ocean, sailing with captain sean, snorkeling, paddle boarding, kayaking, and relaxing.  oh, the relaxing!  just what parents of 3 small kids don't get enough of.  if you're ever looking for an amazing, kid free get away check out galley bay in antigua.  as we told all the bartenders as we left, we WILL be back!

a huge thank you to my mom and andrew's mom, otherwise known as bunny and grammy, for keeping the kids fed, bathed and happy for us while we were gone!  we knew they were in good hands which made the trip even more enjoyable.

getting ready to leave...someone was not wanting to let us go!

on the plane at 6:30 in the morning.  it's ok, i had no kids, no iPads to carry, no little hands to hold.  just me and andrew.

don't mind if we do...

our little hut in paradise all to ourselves.  we were maybe 50 yards from the ocean and could hear it from our room.

our own little pool to cool off in

beach!

watching the sunset while in the ocean.  check!

andrew out in the blue water.  it's where he spent most of his time.  you can see my foot in the bottom of the picture, that's where i was.  on my chair with my book and my drink.  i actually read 2 books while i was gone.  that's unheard of.  what's more unheard of is andrew read a book too!  what?!?

captain sean's boat "beats workin'" we went on his 4 hour sailing trip and it was amazing!  best part of the trip for sure!!

after snorkeling along the 2 mile coral reef.  time for some rum punch.

captain sean!

dinner one night

our new friends, the bartenders!  we sat up every night till they closed down and met the most interesting people.  our favorite by far was a sweet older couple from london.  they were so much fun to sit and chat with till the wee hours!

the view from almost anywhere

just going for swim!  i could've gotten used to this.

we took a hike one day to the top of a little cliff overlooking our resort.  wow was it beautiful.

last sunset.  it was the most amazing trip we are already planning another one!

happy 11 years to us!  we've been through a lot in those 11 years but what does not kill us only makes us stronger.  andrew and i are about as strong together as they come.  as dave matthews says,

"You and me together, we could do anything, Baby

You and me together yeah, yeah
Two of us together, we could do anything, baby
You and me together yeah, yeah
Two of us together yeah, yeah
Two of us together, we could do anything, baby"

Hello Lauren and Andrew, I don't know any couple who is more deserving of some restoration than the two of you. We are all so glad (well maybe not the kids) that you had this magical time together and that you shared it with us.
May the fun and relaxing continue!

Have you got Sean's email, FB or phone number? We're about to visit Galley Bay for the tenth time. And we're planning to use Sean for the first time! Thanks. David
