sch 4 months old

as with most things these days, i'm a bit behind.  our little shelby cooper turned 4 months a few weeks ago and we just went to her 4 month check up today.  in my defense we did have a major snow/ice storm here in georgia last week which was our second one this winter.  almost unheard of down here. anyway, even though she is almost 5 months old here are her 4 month stats:

weight 15.6 lbs in the 75%
height 25 inches in the 50%

go girl.  the boys were no where near these numbers ever.  we still hover just below the charts.  not this girl.  she is kicking butt and taking names.  soon she'll be kicking her two big brothers around.

i'm not sure what happened but when shelby hit 4 months old she became a much happier, easier baby.  for a few months i didn't think i was going to make it.  she did not make things easy in the beginning and i didn't know what to do.  she's a totally different story now.  good thing those first few months are just a sleepless blur.  otherwise no one would ever have more than one child.

some new things that our baby girl is doing include eating rice cereal (mostly in her bottle but she'll play around with it on the spoon.  i'm getting ready to feed her baby food for the first time).  babbling all day long at incredibly high pitched levels.  i'm pretty sure only dogs can hear her at some point.  watching every move her brothers make.  i think she is devising a plan for when she can catch up to them.   figuring out what her hands are for.  mostly for grabbing those fun things at the end of her legs.  i'm pretty sure they're called feet.  man, those things are fun to play with.  realizing the carseat is not her enemy.  thank goodness for this one.  going to church for the first time (not far off from the boys' first time, we're trying to make this more of a regular thing for them).  boy did she catch the attention of every one.  i must admit i was super excited about this outfit

how cute is she?  i don't care what anyone says, the bow can never be big enough.  andrew was pretty sure we could use it as the offering plate at church.  whatever.  the bigger the better, right?

oh, and rolling.  and for the third time i missed my kid rolling for the first time.  i give up trying to see things for the first time.  brooks and i were in the kitchen and before we knew it she was on her stomach looking at me like, "what the heck, get over here and help me!"

our first valentine's day.  i must say these two boys are pretty smitten by this little girl.  i love that she has two big brothers to love her always.  what could be better?

doll baby.
