summer fun
we are loving our summer break! especially me. no getting up early to get anyone ready for school. no rushing out the door. no strict bedtimes. i live for summer! so far things are going good with this pregnancy (knock on wood) and i'm feeling pretty good. i'm 23 weeks now and even though i can't fully enjoy summer (no "afternoon" drinks by the pool for this mama) i'm loving every minute of it. the boys have remembered they know how to swim. it took a few trips to the pool and possibly a few tears shed by all but in the end they both realized they could swim. and now they don't want to stop!
we also had a visit from our family from chicago. they boys were so excited to see brady, brooks has been talking about him coming since march. they came for a whole week and the boys didn't stop moving the whole time. we also loved having mackenzie here too. brady's baby sister was a big hit with my boys and they were able to experience life with a little princess in the house. i'm not sure they know what is coming!
my cousin linsey was also here and we were able to snap a few shots of the kids one day. even though it ended with brooks getting a huge splinter in his foot and a thunderstorm chasing us back home, it was all worth it.

carson and brady in their hats. this was after poor brooks stepped on a very sharp and very large splinter which took us 3 days to get out. he was screaming off to the side but brady and carson sure looked cute.
