we're finally well!

it took us almost a whole two weeks but i think everyone is finally well in this house.  poor carson had the worst of it.  i have never seen him so sick before.  he didn't even want to play with buzz and woody.  it was so sad.  after he had missed monday - thursday of school i thought i would try to send him on friday just to get him out of the house for a change.  he had finally broken the fever and his terrible case of diarrhea had stopped, thank God for that one because i couldn't handle much more of that!  anyway, friday morning brooks started to not look so good so after i dropped carson off i took brooks to the doctor.  just as they were taking his temp, which was 103, and doing a strep and flu test, carson's school called.  his teacher felt like he had done enough.  he was wiped out and couldn't even walk.  they had to push him around in a wheelchair because he was so weak.  poor guy.  thank goodness papa was on standby and could run over and get carson before he passed out from exhaustion.  i was waiting with brooks to hear what his diagnosis was, thank goodness the flu was negative but he did have strep.  of course he did, just as one gets semi-better the other one gets sick.  that's the way it goes i guess.

but, i think (fingers crossed) that we are all better now.  i pray that we never have to deal with any of that again.  it was miserable!  after all of that andrew and i were able to get away this past weekend with some friends to the beach in watercolor.  it was just what the doctor ordered for us!  we had beautiful weather and great company.  here is a video from my dad of brooks.  my parents took the boys to the lake so we could get away, i'm not sure who was more excited, us, my parents, or the boys!
