christmas 2012

the boys had a wonderful christmas this year and with the help of their elf on the shelf, will, santa brought them everything they asked for and probably a little more.

our christmas break couldn't of come soon enough, if you ask me.  between both the boys being sick since about early november, me being so busy with my preschool class and all of my other mommy duties and getting ready for christmas i was about to break.  the monday before school let out just as i pulled in the parking lot at mine and brooks's school he puked all over himself and the car.  what a way to start the week!  then as if i wasn't already stressed enough carson was so sick and so out of it at school on tuesday he forgot to pull his underwear down when he went to the bathroom.  so that was fun to find out when i picked him up.  sometimes i think we run that poor kid into the ground with all his therapies and stuff that he doesn't know which way is up.  anyway, like i said, the break couldn't of come soon enough.  we had such a great time celebrating with family and friends, staying up late, sleeping in late, a trip to disney (for a day-more on that in the next post!), and just hanging out with our new toys.  which by the way, i'm not sure where we will put.  eagle-eye brooks notices everything and i can't put up old toys without him immediately asking where they went.  our house is turning in to one big play room!

christmas eve will wrote the boys a note explaining that he had to go back to the north pole to help santa but he was leaving them a yummy treat to remember him by.  i sure am going to miss that elf and the good behavior he encouraged.

christmas morning!  i loved christmas as a kid for obvious reasons but i love it so much more now.  seeing the boys getting so excited as we get close to christmas and them the pure joy that morning is by far my favorite.  their faces as they open their presents are priceless.

a new chainsaw!  how did santa know that is what he wanted?  i'm not even sure since he changed his mind about a thousand times.

brooks "helping" carson open his new buzz lightyear
christmas

might i add that this buzz lightyear has been on carson's brain for about 6 months.  it doesn't matter that we own every other buzz known to man, he had to have this one.  the one with the working utility belt with special lights and sounds.  the one that we found out is a collectors item and is about $200-350 new in the box.  yeah.  that is what he had his sweet little heart set on.  thank goodness for ebay is all i have to say.  we were able to find one for a reasonable price and the man selling it was just glad it was going to another child who would love it as much as his grandson did a few years ago.  let's just say we didn't see much of carson the rest of the day after he opened it.

christmas

to infinity and beyond!
