never dull
it's never dull around here, which would be why i haven't posted in a few days. sorry. i'm still getting used to this whole "job" thing and trying to keep my sanity. all i have to say is God bless working mothers.
i also took a little vacation to fort myers for a long weekend. it was wonderful. just the girls, my sister and mom, and our friend ashley and yvonne. we went last year and had so much fun we decided to make it an annual thing and all i have to say is next years "CAMLY" trip can't come soon enough! as wonderful as the vacation was nothing beats coming home to my boys and seeing their sweet little faces. i swear they both grew a few inches while i was gone.
we also got our first note home from carson's teacher. not what i needed to see the day i was leaving for florida on my relaxing vacation. it was too funny not to share though. his teacher even put a little smiley face on the note but apparently over the last week or so carson has decided to start shhhh-ing his teachers. like if they ask him to do something, like to leave the playground or clean up an activity, he will put his finger to his lips and shhhh them. then turn around and continue with his activity. umm, what? i was shocked. not my sweet carson? the one who we can barely hear when he talks? yup, that's the one.
so while carson was spending some time in his room thinking about why he was in trouble i could hear brooks go in. i decided to listen in and see what they would talk about. carson was very upset for getting in trouble. brooks starts saying, in his sweet 3 year old voice, "carson. you have to listen to your teachers. you have to do just what they say, no more shhhh-ing them, ok? ok, i'll tell mom you'll listen now" to which he comes out of the room and tells me that carson is going to listen now and can he come out and play? as much as these two wrestle and argue they are the closest of brothers and i am go grateful for that. they are so sweet.
here are some pictures from a few weeks ago when carson fell off the arm of the couch and hit his head and elbow (sadly, not the first time and i'm sure not the last).

poor buddy had a huge bump on his head and a bruised elbow. i guess launching himself off the couch wasn't such a good idea after all. no one listens to mom till someone gets hurt :(
