brooks's first day of preschool
soooo, things have been a tad bit busy around here. not only are we still trying to get used to this whole kindergarten thing with carson but i have gone back to work (gasp!) at the preschool where brooks goes and where carson went the last two years. i'm not sure what i was thinking when i took the job working with a class full of 3 year olds. i kid. kind of. let's just say this, i will not be bored. this first week is almost done, i teach monday through thursday, and i can say i have survived. barely, but i've made it. next week will only be better, at least i hope. my sweet friends are very busy and very 3 but they are very sweet. i will master this. i just keep telling myself that.
the best part of the job is that brooks gets to come with me. his class is right next door to mine and we are on the playground together every day. i love seeing him walk by in his line being so good. his teacher is "new" to teaching preschool. she too is coming back after having her children but also used to teach elementary school. brooks already loves her and her assistant and they love him. who wouldn't love this sweet face?

of course he doesn't always look like that. this is usually how brooks looks in the morning. not too happy to be out of his jammies and without his o's.
here was our attempt at holding the sign. he was still a bit sleepy.
and one quick shot outside his new 3 year old room.
