anniversary trip

our anniversary trip got off to a rough start with our a/c going out at our house.  we were supposed to leave thursday night but with no air and the temps rising we had to try and get it resolved.  once we thought we had it figured out (not really because the warranty company is the worst to deal with and we are still without air-but that is another story) andrew and i headed up to the lake.  saturday, we headed over to the ritz to relax and reminisce our wedding.  there was even a wedding going on outside, just like ours 9 years earlier.  we had a great time just hanging out in the pool and i even got to take a nap during the day!  that is unheard of these days, but it was fantastic.  thanks to both sets of grandparents for keeping the boys for us!  the only pictures i got from the ritz were on my phone, so excuse the poor quality.

the ritz has changed so much since we got married there, they have added all kind of stuff for kids and families to do.  they have some really neat wood carvings all over the property, like this owl one.

the outdoor restaurant we ate at, despite the ridiculous heat it was still really yummy.  i love the saying at the bottom of the sign, "no shirt, no shoes, our pleasure"  it totally fits the atmosphere of this place. 

happy 9 years.  even though we've had our ups and downs (and some of those downs i never thought we would see the light again) i know that andrew will always be there by my side supporting his family.  he's usually my voice of reason that makes everything ok.  here's to many, many more happy anniversaries.
