always ready

brooks is the kind of kid that all you have to do is say, "hey, brooks, you want to..." and before you can finish he is already on board.  this time it was, "hey, brooks, you want to go for a boat ride?"  he was down on the dock in a flash.

it's a busy few weeks coming up.  the boys are going to start swim lessons which i am so excited about.  carson is just about to figure out how to swim on his own and brooks is right behind him.  andrew and i are about to celebrate our 9 year anniversary (what! how can it be 9 years, time flies!) and we will reward each other with a new air conditioner for our upstairs.  i know, it's so romantic but when your air goes out in the summer you really have no choice!  good times...for now we are all sleeping in the basement as our upstairs is a little toasty.  here is where carson is sleeping, which he actually loves and is spending most of his day here...

his own personal "man cave"

yes, b has his 'O' in this picture but that is only because he had just woken up himself.  he is only allowed them in his bed.  the weening process is a long one but he's doing pretty good without them during the day.
