happy 5th birthday carson!

dear carson,

today you turn 5. five years ago you and your brother made your very early entrance into our world. it was very scary for us and you were so tiny at only 1 lb 15 ounces but you were determined to prove everyone wrong. boy have you ever. with strength from your brother in heaven you have far surpassed any expectations they gave you. things haven't been the easiest for you but you never let anything get you down, you amaze us all with your strength and have taught us so many lessons. not every 5 year old can say they are teaching their parents things, shouldn't it be the other way around?

from day one you have everyone you meet wrapped around your skinny little finger and you have no idea how many people out there only know you by reading this blog but love you as if they knew you. never have i met a child who is as genuinely sweet and loving as you are and i hope and pray that those traits stay with you through your teen years. god broke the mold when he made you, sweet boy. your dad and i are the two luckiest parents in the world to have you as our son. i can hardly wait to see what the future holds for you, you have already achieved so much and you are only 5! we are lucky to call you ours and we love you to infinity and beyond!
