so, here is a funny story from christmas. on christmas eve we were at the lake and decided to take the boys to the christmas eve service at the church. i got the boys all dressed up and we headed over to meet the moores who were saving us seats. we sat down and the boys sat in mine and andrew's laps so good, for the first 10 minutes. then i look over at carson sitting with andrew and he is sound asleep...and snoring. right around that time brooks turns to me and starts talking in a sweet, but very loud voice. as i'm trying to ignore him hoping that he will be quiet he is getting louder and calling my name. i gave in and let him dive into my purse hoping it would occupy him. i look at carson again and he is still snoring and now sweating because he was all dressed up in a sweater, long sleeve shirt and cord pants. so now carson is snoring, sweating on himself and on andrew and brooks has put on every lipstick in my purse. andrew decided to take carson back to the house to save everyone from listening to him snore. now brooks has realized the carson and andrew are gone and he wants to go to the car too and keeps asking to go in a very loud voice. i told him when the man is done talking the we will go. that seemed to satisfy him until in the middle of a prayer he turns to me and yells, "is the show over yet?" at this point i told him we were going to get some water. he was happy with that and as we stood to slide past everyone, he stopped at each person to say, "i'm going to get water now, megan. i'm going to get water now, papa. i'm going to get water now mr. rodney." and i'm willing to bet everyone on our side of the church heard him. i guess it was maybe a little too soon to bring them in for the christmas eve service. maybe next year.

anyway, after church we headed next door to the kelleher's for dinner. carson finally woke up and joined in on the party. believe it or not, i only took one picture from the night but it was a cute one. it's of one of our lake neighbors' daughter reading to carson which was so sweet.

opening the clubhouse2

the new clubhouse that has all the pieces. carson loves it and if you didn't see the video below you have to watch it, it's priceless. i also loved how excited brooks was for carson to open his new clubhouse

carson got a skateboard that brooks hijacked the second it was opened. he rode it around all day long and made sure no one else put a foot on it

sadly, that's all the pictures i got for christmas but it was only because we were having such a wonderful time with our families and friends. i'm always so sad to see christmas go but i am so excited to see what the new year holds for us!
