aquarium

last friday was my parents' 39th wedding anniversary so to celebrate my sister and i took them to the aquarium. the boys and i were the only ones who had been so it was really fun showing everyone around. carson was really excited to go and see the sharks and sting rays, he was really in to it this time. poor brooks ended up with a nasty stomach bug while we were there. i'm talking, people looking around to find out where that horrible smell was coming from kind of "bug." it was not pretty, and what was even worse was the fact that i left his diapers in the car. mom of the year right here. i could not believe it, b hasn't needed a diaper change out in public in forever so i didn't think to grab an extra one. believe me, i will be from now on. i will say that i have been wondering when brooks will want to potty train, but on that day i was glad he had a diaper on! fortunately, megan spotted a man pushing a stroller with a package of diapers underneath and begged him for one. believe me, if he got one whiff of what was following brooks he would have given us the whole package. no lie.

despite the stomach troubles the aquarium was so much fun. it truly is amazing to see the animals and fish. carson even touched a starfish, well he actually grabbed a hold of it like he was going to take it with him. we also got to see the dolphin show which was so cool, both the boys sat in amazement while the dolphins flipped and splashed right in front of us. sadly, no cameras were allowed in that exhibit. didn't matter though because i didn't have my camera with me so the photos were taken with my mom's phone...

carson has his yearly CT scan tomorrow at 9 am and i'm praying that we can get it done without having to sedate him. carson had developed a huge fear of anything medical. we have been trying to build up tomorrow by telling him he gets to go in to a space tunnel and find martian mickey. fortunately, there is a new mickey mouse clubhouse out called mickey's space adventure so he is obsessed with anything to do with space. i'm hoping it works, keep your fingers crossed!
