going back to the chicago trip
i have finally gotten some time to sit down and look through the pictures on my camera. i always have good intentions of taking lots of pictures then i realize at the end of the trip i have taken none. oh well. i think we were just so busy having fun with our family that i didn't even have time to think about taking my camera out.
let me start off with the first part of our trip which was the trip to the ATL airport. this place never sleeps. i have been at all times of the week and all times of the day and it always looks like a mad house. the boys were so excited to fly and were in awe of the amount of people that were around us. it's a completely different experience traveling with kids. you see things through their eyes and it makes it so much more fun. what was not fun was hearing that our flight was cancelled 10 minutes before we were supposed to board. um, excuse me? cancelled. like, not delayed a few minutes but cancelled. and the lady who announced it over the intercom sounded like, "good luck finding another flight because this one was totally booked" when she said, "we would be happy to try to accommodate as many of you as possible." thanks, delta. thankfully my dad was able to run down to the delta crown room and have them rebook us a flight...to memphis. so now our two hour flight to chicago has turned in to a two hour delay then a flight to memphis then an hour and a half layover then a flight to chicago. carson's face pretty much explains how we were all feeling...
so after a little bump in our road we were on our way to memphis. i can now say i have been to memphis, at least to the airport. carson fell asleep as we were landing and didn't wake up till we were boarding for chicago. brooks ran around the memphis airport like he owned it.
he didn't move a muscle the whole time in the food court we sat at
sitting down long enough to take a picture
once we finally made it to chicago we went non stop. between all the fun activities with my cousins and their kids and all the wedding activities we were on the go the whole time. we have so many little additions to the family that my two guys didn't know what to do with themselves and all their cousins. we did get to have a photo shoot with linsey. carson and brooks weren't too cooperative but we did get some cute ones.
getting them to stand still is almost impossible
bear hug
my guys (minus andrew who was playing golf)
brooks was not too happy that we had tried to take away his O's and was pitching a fit. carson was trying to make him feel better.
someone got his O's back. not sure how i am going to break him of these things?
sweetest kid ever
my guys with brady. how cute are they?
the main visit to chicago was for my cousin lindsey's wedding which was beautiful. you haven't been to a wedding till you have been to a white family wedding. we are a fun bunch!
sadly, it all had to come to an end. our flight home was much less eventful except for brooks throwing a fit in the security line and smacking me in the face (not something he does on a regular basis) and throwing his shoe at a innocent bystander in the line next to us. i think the security people would have just let us go through no matter what at this point. he perked up once i let him sit on top of the rolling suitcase. whatever it takes, people.
getting ready to board.
best investment ever. i didn't hear a peep out of him the whole time. expect when he wanted to flap his wings and help the plane fly.
see his wings pinned to his shirt? when we were boarding the pilot saw him and his shirt. wouldn't you know it, he was an auburn grad. i knew we were in good hands then. he gave carson and brooks the wing pins. carson wanted both of them because you need two wings to fly, duh.
once b settled down this is how he sat. he didn't' move a muscle except to brush his hair every so often. this kid cracks me up.
it's always fun to go on a trip but it's so nice to be back home. till the next family wedding!
