carson update

carson had a pretty good night last night. he slept fairly comfortably. me on the other hand...well we do what we do for the love of our children. every time i tried to sneak out of the bed he would look at me and say, "you have to sleep with me, mom" so what could i do? i contorted myself and fit in the bed with him. i can't say i had the best night's sleep but i did love snuggling with my little guy.

he's a bit over everyone coming in and checking on him. especially when they have to put the ointment on his incision, but it is so cute because when someone comes in with a stethoscope he says to them, "you are going to check my shirt with that step-a-scope aren't you?" he also shows everyone his hand with the iv in it and asks if they can "unstuck" it for him. he is no fan of the iv, i can't blame him for that one, i hate iv's too! and of course, everyone thinks he is as cute and sweet as can be.

we've seen the doctors this morning and have been given the go ahead to get out of here at some point. i'm still waiting around for the that "go ahead" though. i think this is the worst part of a hospital stay. when you are so ready to leave but can't till they tell you. i know that there are certain steps that have to be taken but we're just ready to go home! so for now carson and i are sitting and watching mickey mouse clubhouse. thank goodness they have the disney channel!
