a trip to the farm
since carson is on spring break this week my mom and i took both the boys out to the jarvis farm. they are friends of our from waaaayyyy back when we lived in good old cedar creek. they now live out in canton, which is about an hour away from where we live. they have a beautiful house with tons of land and all kinds of fun stuff to do for little boys who love to play. and, adrienne (the jarvis' daughter and my friend from when i was little) came with her son who is just a few months younger than brooks. it was fun to see them together and playing, as much as an almost 2 year old and a 19 month old will play together!
our day was a bit delayed by the massive "upset stomach" carson had. poor kid has been hit with the stomach bug. as if he needed to loose any weight, especially right before his 4 year old check up (yes, i said 4! i can hardly believe it myself). that would be one of the two reasons i've been m.i.a for a few days (sorry mrs. jarvis, i will try to be better about updating!). carson has had this nasty virus and brooks had a double ear infection. i was at the doctor's office last wednesday with him and a 102.8 fever and two nasty looking ears. he was given a shot of antibiotics and then put on another oral antibiotics. let's hope this knocks out his ear infections. poor kid walks around with his paci's stuck in his ears and he now tells me, "mommy...ear hurt" how sad is that!
anyway, once i got carson re-dressed and the car all packed up we were off to the farm. wouldn't you know it, i didn't have my camera with me when the boys were feeding the horses, which was very cool, and all the boys enjoyed doing. but i did get pictures of the highlight of the day...a gravel hill. yes, there were horses, a fish pond, trails, tractors and all kinds of things to do and what do my kids play with...a gravel hill. tonight when carson was going to bed i asked him what his favorite part of the farm was and he said, "the rock hill, that was really fun." oh well, the point is they had a blast and were completely worn out by the time we got home. thank you so much for a fantastic day, jarvis family!!
king of the hill...

mr. bob brought out the tractor which i thought carson would love. not so much. he like pulling the levers and pretending to drive but once it was actually turned on, no thank you. back to the gravel hill he went.
anders showed us all how to ride a tractor. he had no fear and even rode around in the horse pasture. maybe next time for my guys.
this was a close as b would get to the tractor
