i'm back

sorry to leave you all hanging with such a "poor me" post. i truly didn't mean to. my super awesome new computer didn't have such a super awesome hard drive and it had to be replaced. good thing the apple store and people who work there are so wonderful. it was so easy to take it in and have them look at it. but, once the kid told me, "we rarely have to replace hard drives this early but i'll check it out" i knew they would have to replace it. we always fit in the "hardly ever happens" category. anyway, a few days without a computer and an erased hard drive made it difficult to do much. it's all fixed now, and i'm back.

last weekend we went to the lake because it was going to be such nice weather. it was almost 70 both days and we took the boys to the playground. i wasn't sure how carson would do, he just had botox last week (see previous post) and i didn't know if he would be too loose or off balance. this kid just continues to prove me wrong. he was all over the place. climbing, walking, swinging, sliding. you name it, he did it. i got a good video of him walking around. what you may not notice, but what we do, is the ease with which he is walking. just before his last round of botox his walking seemed more labored. now, it's much smoother. we also see a huge improvement in his balance. you can see him regain his balance several times. there are SO many things we take for granted when we get up and walk across the room. so much goes in to each step (right summer! if you don't remember, my friend from auburn suffered two strokes back in october and is doing fantastic, but has dealt with relearning a lot. you can check out her blog here). carson is moving right along, you'll hear him say in the beginning of the video, "i can do anything!" he came out with this on his own as he was climbing and i almost burst in to tears. this kid has the most positive attitude about everything. again, i could learn a lot from him and his brother :)
