more christmas pictures
some pictures from the never ending christmas. the boys opened so many presents from people on so many days they think christmas goes on forever. carson asked one day where his present was that day. hopefully one day he will understand it's not about the gifts we get, but the time spent with family and friends that mean the most. but i guess as a 3 year old, the presents win out ;) as we were taking down the tree he said, "oh no! the christmas tree is broken." but the sweetest part was he noticed the star was gone from the top. i really hadn't pointed it out to him but when he asked where the star was it tugged at my heart a little bit. it's always sad to take down the christmas decorations. but it means that we have spring and summer to look forward to! here are some pictures from the many celebrations we had this season (no, they are not edited. i don't have my new software just yet for the mac but it's coming).
andrew and grampy putting together the kitchen. who knew it came with so many parts. i have another picture with andrew showing me a choice middle finger, but i'll keep that one to myself.
carson finally waking up on the first christmas morning
brooks joining him at the top of the stairs for the traditional trip down the stairs to see what santa had brought. (dear lord, please excuse the laundry room in the background!)
brooks absolutely loves his kitchen, he plays in it every morning.
carson wanted a train, and a train he got. he loves to sit and watch it go around. at least till some little brother comes over and knocks it off the track. look at that face! pure innocence.
he stayed like this multiple times through out the day. SO sweet!
just a glimpse of the loot, i am still trying to reorganize everything!
after our first christmas with andrew's parents we packed up the car and headed to the lake. on christmas eve we spent the evening with our neighbors and friends the kellehers and moores, otherwise known as our "lake family" we had a fantastic dinner and great time!
ashley and me by the tree at the kellehers.
with ashley and her little brother, who i pretty much adopted as my own little brother growing up.
my sister, megan :)
andrew and me
matt fixing the salad. if you don't know, matt wrote a cookbook for guys that is incredible. it's called have her over for dinner and he will be on the today show at the end of january doing a cooking segment with kathy lee and hoda! i want to make sure he's on my blog before he gets really big and important and on tv.
hanging out at the lake is what we all do best!
the boys being very good and watching a movie on the ipad. best. invention. ever. (by the way!)
round two was on christmas morning at the lake. good thing we left all the gifts from round one at home, there would be no way we could have packed it all in the car. grandparents and aunts are the best at giving presents, and lots of them!
pure joy over somthing exciting, i have no idea what though.
b got some new O's (what he calls his pacis) and this was in the running for the best gift ever. it doesn't take much to excite a 1 year old.
the fly boat from aunt megan was a huge hit. we heard the song over and over and over and over again. thanks meg.
open it faster, papa!!
could it be, is it possible, how did they know...
my very own dyson vacuum, just like mommy's!!! oh the squeal we heard when he pulled it out of the box!
just counting my O's makin' sure they're all here.
andrew fixed us a delicious smoked ham for christmas dinner.
what's that? well, it's snow. it didn't snow christmas morning at the lake but it did the next day and it was beautiful.
sacked out by the time we got home. what a great christmas it has been. i wonder where we will be in a year?
