annual easter egg hunt
we attended the famed powell family easter egg hunt this saturday with the boys. it was carson's 3rd time and brooks's 2nd. he was just 5 days old last year when we brought him! what a difference a year makes. the powells put on a good show, with over 7 thousand eggs this year! they are such an amazing giving family and we are blessed to know them. it was so great seeing all of the neighbors from my old neighborhood, too. the boys had a blast and carson even "hunted" some eggs this year. of course once he realized there was chocolate in them he just wanted to open each one and eat the candy, not hunt for more. he got to go on the train ride with both his aunts, down the bouncy slide several times and in the jumpy house with all the big boys. he loved it! brooks had a blast eating all the food. this kid can put away more food than i have ever seen. he doesn't stop eating. he even sneaked in a handful of pulled pork bbq! here are some pictures i got of the day. i wasn't very good about taking them, i was busy having fun!
eating bbq. no, i did not give it to him, he grabbed it off the plate and shoved it in his mouth before we could stop him.
after the festivities at the powells we had to get home to get ready for brooks's first birthday party. i'm working on those pictures now and will post them soon. we hope everyone had a wonderful easter.

so, i hadn't been able to get a shot of the boys together all day. just as we were leaving i thought i would try. we have found out since the weather has gotten nicer, that brooks hates with a passion sitting in the grass. he lifts his legs up so that they aren't touching the grass and he just cries. here are the shots i got of the two of them.
