how brooks feels about the bachelor's choice
i think it's no mistake that brooks was tearing up this paticular people magazine i had on the coffe table. he was as upset by jake the bachelor's choice as i was.
on another note, we are still battling some bugs around here. carson has had a cold for the last week but it really hasn't slowed him down too much so i'm not too worried about him. but poor brooks has ended up with bronchitis. he started coughing on sunday night and i wasn't too concerned until monday morning when he started wheezing. having seen him in respritory distress before, i did not want to let it get that far so i called our pediatrician. when i was telling the nurse what was wrong and wanted to know if i could bring him in she said that our paticular doctor was booked but she would see who else was open. she asked for brooks's name again and put me on hold. about 30 seconds later, our regular nurse came on the line and said to bring him in, dr. putnam would fit him in. i guess having an rare heart defect gets you special treatment ;) anyway, i took him in and sure enough it was something more serious than just a cold. so we are now on breathing treatments every three hours along with an antibiotic. the poor kid handles the breathing treatment like a champ and isn't too bothered by the extra dose of medicine. let's just hope we knock this thing out before it has a chance to develop into anything else!
