ALCAPA Website

I added a link under our "family and friends" that explains Brooks' condition. Many of you have asked for explanations and this is the best way I can do that. Take a look for yourselves. I am now more educated on the heart than I ever wanted to be.

I am at home with Carson now but heading back around 8:30 pm. I'll post tonight before I go to bed. Keep praying for a strong heart and a steady recovery!

Wow, Lauren. I was going on the impression that Brooks had Transposition of the Great Vessels. This is so far out that I would have never guessed in a million years. I'm so glad that you guys went with your instincts and took Brooks to the ER that day. Poor little guy didn't have reflux, he was in congestive heart failure! Praise God for the staff and doctors at Children's who helped confirm his real diagnosis. I'm so happy to hear that he's feeding now and it was wonderful to see his big blue eyes open in that pic. You guys hang in there and know there are so many that care about you and what you are going through....

Hey guys,
Glad to hear that the weekend seemed to go pretty smoothly. We are still thinking about you guys and glad to have this blog so we can get your updates. Sounds like things are moving in the right direction after the news from Friday afternoon when we were there...Brooks is getting stronger and more independant of all those machines - great news! Hang in there!
