Surgery

Andrew and I dropped Brooks off at the operating room this morning at 7:30 am.  We met with the surgeon who has come very highly recommended by many people, his name is Dr. Kirschbom. Please pray for a steady had and a clear mind as he works on my tiny baby's heart.  I will try and update as often as I get updates.  They will call every hour and a half with updates.  Keep praying for Brooks and his team of doctors and nurses...

Wow, I didn't realize you'd be able to bring him home for the night. He's obviously as tough as his big brother to have thrived this long, just think how good he'll do once he's fixed up. Keep us updated and we'll keep the prayers coming!

Hey Lauren,

This is Brittany Beaver (Howell now). Allyson Tully told me what you and your family were going through right now and I wanted to let you know I am praying for your family and Brooks. I too have been where you are, my son Jackson was born with a heart defect and has had 2 open heart surgeries. I just want you to know that Egleston is the best and they will take such good care of your son. It is hard, no doubt but it is amazing how they pull through and Brooks will. Please visit Jackson's carepage to see our and his journey. I hope it will help you and your family. The information is carepages.com and his carepage name is "Ourboy". Also, please call me if you have any questions at all about the recovery process, etc. I will be glad to talk to you. Again, My family and I will be praying for all of you.

Stay Strong and Take Care,
Brittany
