Lauren,
That is how Sarah first started crawling too. We called it the army crawl, and she was fast using her elbows, knees and feet to move right across the floor. She did that for about 3 months until she finally started crawling the easier way. But I have to say, it made her arms, core and legs extremely strong which is probably what Carson needs right now. How exciting to see him moving! The next three months are going to be amazing to you with how quickly he develops!

It's the military crawl! Hooray for Carson! Dash did the same thing--cute as can be!
Once we (I, actually) hadn't snapped up the back of his outfit and he military crawled all around the carpet of a hotel room. It pulled his shirt collar down around his belly as he crawled, leaving his bare chest to rub against the carpet as he moved. In the morning, we got a call from daycare asking about a strange, 1/2 circle shaped red mark and what looked like a burn on his chest! He'd gotten rugburn--in one spot so bad it crusted over! Yikes! He did get strong arms and legs, though, and a real lust for moving. Way to go Carson!
Love,
Rachel, James and Dash (who recovered from our negligence, fortunately...0

Carson,Lauren and Andrew,
I really enjoyed the video of "the crawl" and pictures of Carson's birthday. He is well on his way to many many wonderful adventures. Thanks you so much for continuing to share Carson's amazing progress with all of us. Have an awesome weekend with family and friends...it will be a special time!

Look at Carson go!! He's doing so well! I check in on you guys regularly via the blog. You have been in my thoughts and prayers lately. I love the idea of releasing balloons for their birthdays. Olivia's birthday is May 29th and I'm already beginning to get into a slump. I think I may copy your idea and release a balloon for her on May 29th.

Hope you guys have a fun weekend,
Lurenda :)
