Eye Doctor

We saw the eye doctor this morning and she said his ROP has made significant improvements from last week and we don't need to come back for two weeks! This is probably the most traumatic visits that we have. They use metal clamps to hold his eyelids open while poking around with a stick. I have to hold him down, not fun at all! Then his poor little eye lids are swollen the rest of the day and his eyes are dilated. Needles to say I was thrilled to hear we don't have to do it again for a little bit. No new pictures this morning, I'll put some new ones up soon. He is now 7 lbs 5 oz! Growing like a weed!

Thumbs up! We can't wait to visit him next month. Right now we are so focused on Joanna's wedding, but soon we can focus on different things. Carson just gets cuter and cuter. One of my favorite photos is looking at Bo sneaking out under the crib.

For a while, anxiety seemed to be the family expression. Clearly it is now turning to contentment!
Hooray!

Going to the eye doctor is not easy or fun for little ones, but what wonderful news. Small baby, small vistories (for now).

PS I hadn't noticed the remote the first time, so am happy that other viewers have more astute male eyes! Maybe some day Carson will need to be told what a remote is! Imagine all the changes he will see in his life.

Made my eyes water just to read the post! Great to see the progress.
