Still Frustrated

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! Phew, I feel better now. Carson is still only taking about half of his bottle. I think we figured out his problem, he's male. Too bad there is nothing we can do to fix that. He's just being lazy. I'm just about ready to bust him out of there myself. We are watching people be admitted and discharged left and right while we just sit, hanging out. Carson will be able to walk out of there by the time we leave!

Some good news to report, they took him off his canula so he is breathing all on his own now. And he is 5 lbs 1 oz! Tonight is another bath and weight night so we will see how much more he weighs later. Send us good thoughts and extra prayers that he kicks it in to high gear the next few days!

Men . . . What can you do?

He'll be home soon. I know he will! Hang in there. Right now he's just playing the waiting game. Your family is ALWAYS in our prayers!
Hugs, girlfriend!

Try some chocolate syrup in that formula and scatter some nacho crumbs around his crib so that he feels more at home.

Over 5 pounds sounds good!

Jeff

Hang in there...I have never known any of my friends' preemies to have to wait until after their actual due date to come home. You're really close!

As the sole female in my own little fraternity house, I can only say that you will eventually realize that your time tables and priorities rarely coincide with the men in your household. You will learn to relax a bit and they will learn how far they can push you before they cross the line. It's alot of fun, really. Read up on your reverse psychology techniques....I find that they come in handy!

Carson has it pretty good right now and he probably knows it. If you had people waiting on you and pampering you all day would you be in a hurry to go? Show him pictures of a couch, a TV, motorcycles, tools, a stocked fridge and a football and he will figure out that it's much better at home!

5lbs 1oz. is great!!! He is really taking off. I know it's frustrating not having Carson at home, but he'll get there. I think about you everyday. Hang in there and feel free to vent all you want.

I think Carson's great-uncles used to love crumbled up Oreos in their milk--they'd eat it like cereal....I'm sure he's going to love anything with chocolate!
Way to go at getting over 5 lbs. He'll be outgrowing things before you know it!

Hugs to all of you,
Rachel, James and Dash

5 pounds is awesome!!!! We can't wait for him to come home. He has already more than doubled his weight, that's not being too lazy.
