For You Blog Fanatics...

Nothing much to report on. Carson is taking his whole bottle for me but won't do it for anyone else. I told the doctors that I would stay up there 24 hours to prove he can do it since I would be the one feeding him at home anyway (with some help from Andrew :) We'll see. I'm going to try to feed him consecutively today and see if he has the energy to do it, in fact I'm on my way back up right now....I'll let you know!

Lauren, sorry I have not sent a comment in a while. I have been keeping up with you through Nancy Emerson and Ruth Bishoff. Nancy is my Mother-in-law. Anyway, sounds like Carson is going to be coming home soon. I am so happy for you all. I can not imagine what all you have been through. Reading through your recent days brings tears to my eyes. We were so blessed with Ross. I know you have had a lot of people write in and you do not know Brian and I well. Ross is our son, who is to turn the BIG 3yrs.in August 20th. His original due date was Oct. 29th. We were planning a Halloween Baby? But he was born 10 weeks premature at 2 lbs and how scary. Anyway, he is a your very normal typical 2-3 year old boy. And we LOVE every minute of it. As he did so well and came home earlier than we had planned. Which Carson sounds like he may be home before or real close to his due date. I know we do not know each other well but you are an inspiration to all Mothers. It is so unfortunate what happen to Cooper but he will always be with you. As Carson is doing so well now, Cooper in his own very special way is taking part in helping out his brother. Not to get too philosophical but I believe things happen for a reason? I know that does not help anyone feel better now but down the road there will probably be some answers. Lauren hope to see you and Carson soon. Would love to come for a visit once you get him home and things settle down. Keep up the good work with feeding. I am sure he will be home soon. You know the one thing that was nice once I got Ross home is he was already on a feeding schedule. One small advantage of having him in the NICU for so long. Be in touch. I have really enjoyed being part of your experience and thank you for letting me. I know Ross did very well as a premie and my experience does not compare to what you have been through but I feel it has made me be even more grateful for having such a wonderful son. And Miracles do happen. You and I know that first hand. And we need to be reminded what a wonderful Miracle God has given us everyday.

Hugs, Hope

Lauren,
You sound like a real Mama Tiger:-) One of my students stopped by today and her first question was to ask how Carson is doing. She was thrilled to hear of his progress. Hope your feedings went well today!
Love,
Lisa
