We did it!

We made it through our first entire weekend without any setbacks! Who cares if I held my breath every time the phone rang or each time I walked in to the NICU, the point is, we made it. Actually, it was a good weekend for the boys. Carson was extubated last night and put back on CPAP, which allows him to try to breath on his own. Cooper's blood pressure meds were down to 4 last night (we were at 50 last weekend) and he is starting to look like himself again. I'd like to think that we won't have anymore weekends like the last few but I'm scared to get my hopes up. For now though, things are good. Thank you everyone!

Happy early mother's day to Lauren! (and Andrew) Hopefully they're turning the corner to better days and especially better nights... I think in a year you'll have to host a reunion for all of their "virtual relatives" who live on the blog! I noticed they got several on-line lectures about proper mother's day behavior and it seems to be working!

All the best,
Adrienne

Way to go Carson and Cooper. Just remember Uncle Stan gave you one of his most powerful miracles and along with all the prayers from family, and friends these two precious little boys finally had a quiet weekend. Lets hope these are the first of many baby steps towards getting home with their mom and dad.
Oh yes you might find two grandma's hiding in your room to spoil you when mom and dad are not looking..

Hi Andrew & Lauren,
Glad to hear the weekend was a good one for the boys. I imagine your whole life must be on hold, just waiting to hear about the health of your babies. Hopefully you will be able to enjoy mother's day (Lauren) and will get to hold both of them and let them know how much you guys love them.
Love,
joanna

That is wonderful news! I have a good feeling that maybe you have turned the corner and the setbacks will be a thing of the past. I will pray for that. Hang in there....they'll grow up and be spending days at the pool before you know it. Thanks for the updates on the blog! Happy early Mother's Day, Lauren! Congrats on a good weekend!
