Cross Your Fingers

It's Saturday evening and Andrew and I are praying for a good night. We have yet to go a whole weekend without a scare from one of the boys. Please pray that we get no such phone call tonight or tomorrow (or ever again, if that's possible). I would like to make it through a weekend without feeling so helpless. I left both boys this evening sleeping soundly. Well, Carson was flailing his legs around but he was falling asleep. Cooper was resting quietly with his blood pressure where it should be and his oxygen levels good. I will let everyone know what kind of night/Sunday we have tomorrow. Happy Cinco de Mayo!

Andrew and Lauren,
We are so happy to hear that Carson and Cooper made it through their surgey. I know they get their strength from their parents! They are lucky to have you and their wonderful grandparents and aunts by their side everyday!

love,
Amy and Lori
Lauren,
Thank you for adding a little culture to your blog ("Happy Cinco de Mayo!") :-) At least somebody out there is thinking about the Mexicans. Hope the boys have a "borning" weekend! We'll be thinking about them! The're getting stronger...I KNOW IT!

Love,
Lins

Dear Carson and Cooper,

OK, guys...you heard your Mom...you have to be good this weekend! In fact, how about just behaving yourselves until adolescence. THEN you can act out again (but only a bit)!

And by the way, Mother's Day is coming up. You may not know about this, so here's the deal: every May you get to celebrate how wonderful your Mom is. And she is. But you know that already. And you should let her know that you know that all the time. Having a quiet weekend would be a good start on this. When you're older, you can bring her breakfast in bed and mess up the kitchen cooking it, but for now just keep improving and give her a little smile or two! She'd like that!

We love you!

We hope this was the best weekend ever for the boys, and the two of you. We hope to hear that Cooper will soon be off the antibiotics. We are full of hope and love for all four of you and the grandparents as well. Love, Uncle Lawrence and Aunt Suzanne
