Update on Coopers infection

I just got off the phone with Cooper's nurse and he is hanging in there. He is still maxed out on both of his blood pressure medicines and way up on his oxygen levels but she said they would slowly try to start turning him down. With Cooper you have to do things very slowly! They did identify the type of infection he has so now they are just waiting for the specifics but they were able to give him a stronger more specific antibiotic. His blood pressure was back up for now so that was good to hear, yesterday he was down pretty low. It's so scary to sit and watch his numbers knowing what they need to be and seeing they aren't even close.

Carson was doing well, he had a good night. His nurse decided to run some blood tests to check for infection just in case he felt like copying his brother. So he is also getting some antibiotics just to make sure he is all clear.

Thank you for sending thoughts and prayers in the boys' direction. Every single one helps!

Lauren and all your wonderful family,

I am glad to read that Cooper is doing better today. My prayers are with you guys constantly. The boys have a wonderful and loving family to help them along. I hear the anguish that you are going through in your posts but it sounds like you are doing a wonderful job being a mommy and daddy and grandparents just hang in there........

Lauren,
I just visited your blog and read the last few posts. For such an up and down roller coaster you and Carson and Cooper seem to be hanging in there well. I was so glad to see Cooper was doing a little better. Both of them (and you and Andrew are in my prayers). I know it's terribly hard at times, but try to stay positive! That positive energy will flow right to those little boys.

Hi Lauren & Andrew,
I'm sorry I haven't posted anything until now, but I've been checking in on the boys every day. I'm hoping they both do make progress and can one day be healthy and home with their parents. We're sending lots of positive vibes from out here in Cali. Try to keep your spirits up. I'm sure better days are ahead.
Love,
Joanna

Lauren -
You guys hang in there. I know this all seems so unfair and like it will never end. You are both wonderful parents and Cooper and Carson are both so lucky to have you. I know it doesnt make sense right now, but just remember God is in control. You're friend is right- He'll never give you more than you can handle. Maybe you just didnt know how strong you were. I'm keeping you, Andrew and your little ones in my prayers daily. Hang in there!
