25 Weeks and Counting...

I am still here at Gwinnett Medical on bedrest. For those of you who do not know, I was admitted on the 18th of March and told that I would not be leaving anytime soon. The doctors are trying to get me to 28 weeks so that the boys will be as strong as they can be.

I'm trying to stay as positive as possible, but it's hard when you are confined to your bed. Poor Andrew is wearing himself out between coming here, taking care of Bo (our first child, a Weimaraner), and working. He's a trooper though! Here are the latest pictures we have of the boys...

This is Carson, baby A. At first Andrew was REALLY proud of his son, but then we were told that it's actually a leg!

This is baby B, Cooper. Aren't they so cute!

Lauren,

I'm positive that everything will be perfect in the end! What would an addition be to the White Family without something being a little wierd! I was about to give huge props to Andrew from the Baby A picture...but oh well! I can't wait untill i get to see baby pictures of the twins! Take care of yourself, and try not to hit on too many Doctors...remember your married now! I want to see them on Skiis someday here in Colorado!

Love,
Brad

Lauren,

We are thinking of you everyday! Your boys look like they will be some charmers. I must say that your furry friend is pretty charming too! How nice of him to come and visit you, hopefully he can come lots. We can't wait to hear the good news of having more twins in the white family. Keep us posted and keep smiling!!!!!

Hi Lauren, Loved the pictures of the boys! Hang in there...when you are celebrating their first birthday with the family, you will hardly remember your hospital experiences. It will be a distant memory and worth every day of it in the end. I don't know if your mother is going to be able to contain herself when the boys are born.....she is already so excited!!! Take care and Happy Easter to you and Andrew! Love, Mona/Mrs."D" P. S.

Andy & I are thinking about you all! Soon you'll have your hands full, so you can look at this as a "little" or long bit of rest. Let us know if you need anything - if you have any cravings we can always travel with pizza!

Lauren and Andrew,

Phil and I are so proud of you two. Carson and Cooper are so lucky to have parents like you. Bo has been very good although I know she misses you...so well behaved at the hospital!

Love, Eileen (the other grandmother)

Okay, I must be the only one that is having trouble with this photo! I can see the noses and yes, "the Leg" but that's it. I prefer an Olen Mills Shot! Glad you are doing well and that the boys are still cookin'. Your eldest child is so beautiful. I think it's great that the hospital permits her in for a visit. Probably cause they know she's an Auburn fan! It won't be long now! Love, Kay

That is great that your dogs are able to visit you! I'm sure that makes your days at the hospital more exciting! Good luck with everything and I'm thinking of you and your boys everyday!

Good on ya, Lauren!

We are sending best wishes from down under! Actually, I'm in a hotel room in Chicago right now, but when we are back home in New Zealand, that is where we send wishes from. They take a bit longer to get to Atlanta, but should arrive soon.

Bo is a great name for a pet! Our Beau spelled his name differently, but seemed to answer to either spelling.

Hang in there.

Love,
Uncle Jeff

Hi, Lauren this is the New Lenox White's!!!
We love the pictures of Carsen and Cooper!!!
Uncle Stan says that he hopes everything is well. He is still having a hard time believing there will be 2 babies who may bare resemblance to Andrew. Here is what Uncle Stan is quoted as saying. "I hope that what few remaining White genes that still flow in your veins will take over and the babies will look like me."
We all think you look wonderful too!!
Tell Andrew and Bo hi!!!

Love,
Aunt Linda, Uncle Stan, Jon, and Lindsey

Hey, Lauren!!!! You look SO gorgeous! What a tasteful baby bump! Can't wait to have Carson and Cooper come to Camp Kiwi to visit us. You and Andrew can come along, too! Happy Labour Day--Love ya,
Lisa
Hey Lauren,

This is Kristen Nagel. Beth Vaughan has been filling me in on your journey. We have 22 week old twin girls, Riley and Jocelyn. It was quite a shock when we found out we were having twins, but it is the best thing in the world. I would not trade it for anything. I actually would not mind having another set. Anyway, I just wanted to send a bit of encouragement your way since I know exactly what you are going through. First of all, you look great! I was put on bedrest at 27 weeks (preterm labor) and made it to 35 weeks. It was very tough and extremely boring. My husband also had to pick up all the slack since we have no family in town. People magazines, the internet, word searches, and the phone kept me going. Eat whatever you want and don't think twice about it. I would love to offer any support and advice I can...abcnagel@yahoo.com
Congratulations and welcome to motherhood

Hey, Lauren--

Here is a question for you...Why is it colder and more windy here in Chicago than it is in New Zealand!!!! It's cold here!

Lauren,
the babies are so cute!!! My how your family has grown! The pictures of the five of you are all great.
I can only imagine how bored you must be, but, you could start reading to the twins, maybe learn a new language, talk to them about tennis,(we all know grandma will have them out on the court as soon as possible)
Anyway, Al and I send our love and support.

Lauren-
I had to leave my 3rd son Stephen in the hospital 26 years ago. He stayed in ICU for 31 days It is one of the hardest things you will ever do. I have been praying for you so much.
When Stephen was in the hospital we started a prayer chain of specific requests. Each evening I would call the 1st person with the request of the day and then it would get passed on. He is now a wonderful man and has been such a blessing to us.
If you don't have a church family to call on, please consider a prayer chain. I would be so blessed to help with that.
The babies are beautiful.
I am always her if you need to talk or a shoulder to cry on.

Dear Carson and Cooper,
You are just too cute for words! We wish we had time on our visit here to the USA to visit you, too, but we'll have to make that next time. So, we're sending you lots and lots of love. With all of the good thoughts coming your way, you'll both be big and strong enough to play rugby in New Zealand someday! Tell your Mommy and Daddy we love them, too! Love,
Aunt Lisa and Uncle Jeff
