Sunday Update

Brooks is continuing to impress...they were able to pull out his second chest tube and close up the bottom of the incision.  They also pulled his foley so he is peeing into his diaper now like a "normal" baby.  They also started feeding him by bottle today.  I was there when they started so they let me do it.  It took him a few minutes but he was catching on.  The most important part is that he wanted to eat!  It has been such a struggle lately trying to get him to eat and to see him hungry and able to eat makes me so happy!  We had to step out while they brought in a new baby so the nurse was going to finish feeding him.  Poor kid looks like he's anorexic but he'll plump up soon.

Andrew is heading back to work tomorrow.  His company has been so supportive and allowed him to take the time off to be here when he really needed to be.  It will be good for him to get back to some normalcy thought.  Unfortunately he won't be able to come down every day.  With traffic it would take him over an hour to get here so he is going to taking charge at home with Carson and helping our moms with him.  I am going to miss having him here but it will be good to have him at home too.  I will try to get home every other day or so to see my little man.
